By the end of last night, January 1, I had completed my first resolution: change over our wardrobes from summer to winter.
Now that all of our summer clothes are packed away, I’m ready to tackle my next resolution: put up the Christmas lights.

Sounds like you are ahead of the game. I’m considering a prolonged game of chicken with my girlfriend on who has to put away the Christmas decorations, but I’m not sure that it would be great for our relationship to find out which one of us cares the least about the matter several months from now.
Why not do it together? Then you’ll never find out who cares the least.

Realistically that’s what we will be shooting for, we just rarely have our work schedules lined up so when we do, house work never tops the list of desirable activities!
I feel bad that we didn’t get to put up Christmas lights this year, but I didn’t want to get up on a ladder when she wasn’t around to call 911 if/when I fell off of it!

You could always just throw sweaters over your summer clothes and forget about unpacking your winter clothes altogether.
